Reggie Bush College days revisited..

Honestly, I laugh at the "Bush isn't even the best ROOKIE Running Back talk"

"Boy, if we had Maroney"
"Addai, Jones Drew, Norwood and Lundy look better than Bush"

Those rookies are all great guys, and I'm not here to bash them unnecessarily.

Maroney is a great power running back, on a great power running team. What separates Dillon from Maroney? Not much IMHO.

And I haven't put on a football uniform in 7 years now. And I bet a good bit of my money that I could suit up tomorrow and rush for 50 yards in the Colts offense. Not to take Addai props, love to see the LSU boys do well in the league.

Norwood (who has looked very impressive, and has been a bit of a surprise to me) plays for the Falcons. Any team that has MV as a QB will have a successful running game. Due to the attention defenses have to place on MV.

Do you guys honestly think teams are game planning to stop Maroney, Lundy, Norwood, Addai, or Jones Drew (who has also been very impressive)? Do opposing teams scheme special packages for any of these guys.
Of course I'm speculating here, but I seriously doubt it.

We didn't draft RB because we needed another power runner. We already have that. We drafted Reggie Bush to be Reggie Bush. Assuming Reggie is scared to get hit is borderline absurd. You cannot, I repeat, cannot play running back at any level if you are scared to take a hit (I’m done commenting on that phase of the Reggie Bush argument)

Teams game plan to stop other teams running game.

Teams game plan to stop Reggie Bush.

Speculation about the other teams is inevitable, but we do know for a fact, that various coaches and coordinators have admitted to game planning and admitting that accounting for Reggie Bush is a top priority.

When all the chips fall this season, we will revisit this conversation.

As mentioned in previous post, I, like many of you on this site, am a die-hard football fan. But most importantly, I am a running back guru. Have played, coached, critiqued a have always been fascinated by the position.

I’m just letting you guys know, that in all of my years (25) on this earth. I have never witnessed a football player that carries Reggie Bush's skills set.

Why hasn't Reggie’s signature big play shown its face in the first 8 games? The answer to this question can only be speculated. But I will tell you this, and give fair warning to any opposing team SR visitor. Don't sleep on a slumping Giant. Teams will pay dearly when they do.

I still believe, not because I bleed black and gold, but solely based on my knowledge of football, and my self proclaimed "specialization" of the RB position, that Reggie will score at least 12 TD's this year.

There are 8 games remaining. And the stage has been set. Teams might honestly start buying into this "Reggie Bust" talk. And they will pay dearly for it. All I can say is this, and mark my words, file this away and send me hate mail at your own discretion if this doesn't hold true......

Reggie Bush's final 8 games will be worlds away from the first 8. Write it in stone.

P.S. Am I the only that thinks that Larry Johnson is a clone of the 2002,2003 Deuce McAllister. Every time I see a KC highlight I get PO'ed because that is what Deuce used to look like before Haslett encouraged him to "bulk up". Telling a 225 pound man to "bulk up", I’m still in search of that answer.
