Walterfootball 2011 3round Mock Draft

After drafting Al Woods over Cam Thomas I don't really trust our FO decision making when it comes to DTs. It seemed like they liked the smaller 3-tech/5-tech DT's in the draft, I wonder if we will go that road again. We could still sign Cofield and then draft another DT.

if that's the case then stephen paea could be the jared odrick-type consideration of 2011 along with drake nevis and jurell casey.

If Gholston is brought back to the 4-3 scheme he'd go back to beast mode. His game in college was always strength, the bull rush, he puts up some great combine numbers and then Mangenius decides he can play OLB in the 3-4. He just isn't built for the 3-4 and anyone who knows football can tell that. He has more talent than anyone we could draft in 2nd round, probably first. I'll be on his bandwagon once he gets released.

funny thing is that im pretty sure we would've wanted him this year but his 3 mil a year cap number was likely too high. it will be lower when he's no longer with the jets.

Haven't watched him play this year, I'll have to before the season is over. I watched Ryan Kerrigan against Notre Dame and he totally beasted it up. Unfortunately I think he is getting over hyped and will go earlier than he should, maybe his stock will cool down as the season goes on.

isn't kerrigan the kid from purdue? i read somewhere that he's more of a try hard guy rather than a raw skills guy. im hoping that we can add someone with both an edge rush and a bull rush.

I know he's a top 15 talent but this FO will never draft that guy. His off field problems are the least of his concern, on the field the guy hardly ever tries and his work ethic is almost non-existent. We've never even shown the slightest interest in players like him before and I doubt we will with him. Even in the 3rd round we'd just be wasting our
pick on him.

don't really understand why you would be so sour on austin even in the third round.:hihi:

he's had four sacks in 2 of the last 3 years and i understand that he's had issues academically and has even gotten kicked off of his team but i don't see how either of those things makes him any worse than anthony hargrove, junior galette, or carlos dunlap.

it's seems like you really, really, hate this guy. i admitt i haven't followed everything that's gone on between austin and UNC but judging from your distaste of austin i get the feeling that there's more than just the academic issues to be concerned with.
