JD's top 10 plays in Saints history.
Good list, but it's missing one crucial play in Saints history that should be on it:
In 1987, with about 2 minutes left in the Saints-Steelers game in Pittsburgh and with the Saints up 20-14, Sam Mills made one of the biggest stops in team history: He slammed violently into Frank Pollard on 4th and 1 from the Saints' goalline to preserve the victory and wrap up the first ever winning season in the then 21-year-old franchise's history. Due to a players' strike that year, the season had been shortened to 15 games. That win made the Saints 8-3, assuring them that they were no longer perennial losers. That play will forever be etched into my brain. After decades of futility, finally, we were winners! All hail the Field Mouse! I would put that play above the River City Miracle and even Meachem's takeaway because, in terms of the history of the franchise, it was the Saints' most significant moment until it won its first playoff game.
