The Reggie Effect (True observation) with question.
It's obviously a huge impact having Reggie out there.
What are defenses supposed to do with Reggie in the slot, and Colston line up wide. All the while, Deuce is in the backfield. You have the threat of a reverse, a fake reverse, a handoff to Deuce, a possession type pass to Colston ... and tossing a bomb to Henderson, who's got single coverage on the other side.
Now without Reggie, the two reverse plays aren't such a threat anymore ... Deuce is still a threat, but teams can key on him .... basically, the options are cut down in half.
This offense just has too many weapons (a bright young mind leading them, in Payton) for defensive coordinators to be sure of what we're going to do.
