Brees needs to stop ill-advised throws/colston needs to catch it
I'll reiterate what I wrote last week. If you don't like what you watched last night from Brees, then you need to start asking the GM to find a new starting QB. Because that is exactly who Brees is. It is always been who Brees is.
His greatest victory at Purdue came against Ohio State. He threw 4 INT's that game! On the last one, he made a horrible decision and had to tackle the guy himself to save a Pick-6. OSU scored anyway to retake the lead, and then he simply proceeded to throw the game winning TD with 2 minutes left.
Last night was almost like watching a flashback of that game. I can't believe you guys keep expecting him to change. "Stop taking so many chances!" "Stop throwing bone-headed INT's!"
The guy has supreme confidence in his ability to make the game winning play, because he has done it many, many times. Sometimes it doesn't work out so great. But most of the time, he comes through. Just have faith! You've got one Super Bowl victory already. And it wouldn't hurt to get that running game working better too.
