I agree that it's too easy to brush off a 6th round pick--if you think of guys like Brady and Colston. But part of last season we also kept 3 kickers on our roster because Carney couldn't kick off. Even then we were never a threat to make long field goals, and our kick offs were terrible no matter who was playing.
That was a huge mess last year that went unnoticed because we had the best offense in the NFL.
