240 calories a day? That can't be right. Also less calories isn't necessarily a good thing. Yeah, you'll lose weight if you were obese (100 lbs over optimal weight) but after you get to optimal weight you'll actually start to develop a belly because your body doesn't have the fuel it needs to burn fat. It will store it for energy later. Less calories also means your body will have a low metabolic rate and won't digest foods therefore your intestines won't be able to absorb the needed nutrients, you'll get a stomach ache, and pass hard stool which can be painful.
