It always ended with them saying, "But that's different." I would ask how and they would just say, "It just is." Women. :idunno:
This used to drive me nuts.
Me: I am hungry. Wanna grab something to eat?
Her: Yeah, I'm hungry too. Where should we go?
Me: We can go wherever you want. (Literally meaning EXACTLY that.)
Her: No, you pick. (Not meaning that AT ALL.)
Me: Ok. Outback Steakhouse.
Her: Not feeling that today.
Me: Red Lobster.
Her: I don't want seafood.
Me: Popeyes.
Her: Ughhh!
Me: Olive Garden.
Her: No.
Me: Why don't you just tell me what you want?
Her: I want you to pick.
Me: No you don't. I just gave you 4 choices, you shot each one down. We would save a lot of time if you just tell me what you want. You want to give me the illusion of choice, when really, you ALREADY know what you want. Just tell me what you want.
Her: I want a salad from "_______________".
In my head, I was thinking, man why doesn't she just say from jump street that she wants a salad from "___________________"? My guess is, some women don't want to seem controlling or demanding so they make you THINK you have a choice or make it seem like you are the one who actually chose the place, since you suggested this.
