Bobby Hebert's gamble in 1990 paid off big for NFL's players

I remember oh so well when Bobby sat out. I wasn't mad at him; I was mad at Finks for wasting a year of one of the best defenses to ever be assembled. Bobby wasn't great, but he was clearly the best QB we had and we had a good running game. The way our D was playing, we had a chance to make a run in the playoffs with a competent QB at the helm, but Finks threw everything down the drain for a measly $400 large.

This is my favorite part of Holder's interview with Hebert:

"Even Rickey Jackson, you know how crazy Rickey is, he told me, 'You know, you made that cancer grown in Mr. Finks [who died of lung cancer in 1994]. You had him so stressed out,'" Hebert said. "And I go, 'Rickey, what are you talking about?' Rickey will say anything."

That's hilarious.
