Captain America
I guess I am in the minority here but I think that this movie missed the mark. I went into this flick wanting to love it but came out feeling apathetic about it. My buddies and I left the theater actually LESS excited about the upcoming Avengers movie, which is sad and I previously thought impossible to do because I was so geeked about it.
This movie was like milk that is ABOUT to spoil... maybe a day or so off. You can drink it and it won't kill you but you just know that something doesn't smell quite right.
I never had a "HECK YEAH" moment where I wanted to get outta my seat and pump my fist nor did I really feel or care anything for any of the characters. I was just like, I could have watched this on tv and had about the same amount of impact.
But the good parts: Hugo Weaving WAS THE MAN!! I'll give the movie that. Also the makeup for the Red Skull and the CGI for pre-buffed Cap was awesome. Oh yeah, the guy who played the Capt's doc was pretty good as well. And the lady playing Capt's love interest was gorgeous and I thought a good actress.
Finally, the teaser trailer for the Avengers stirred some anticipation up, so maybe it'll be better than I hope.
