We're all thinking it, but no one wants to say it:This team is reminiscent of 2002

Dude, no he wasn't. The year Blake had and the year Brees is having are in no way similar. Blake was at best a caretaker who rode Ricky Williams and the #1-ranked defense to a decent record, while occasionally pulling some big plays out of thin air. Brees is having an MVP-caliber season leading a high-powered offense with little defensive support.

I keep hearing a lot of folks saying that this defense is terrible (little defensive support). Don't get me wrong - There is definitely room for improvement on our D, but to say we are where we are simply based on Drew, is not true.

He's a large part of it - I think he's the best thing to happen to us since slice bread, but through the first eight games, this D was ranked in the top 10. How soon we forget.

To accomplish that with mostly average talent speaks volume. As someone said earlier, if our D can simply get back to producing more three and outs, and we can eliminate the mistakes on O, we're unbeatable: Evidence - The second Tampa Bay game.
