Woodford Reserve or Maker's Mark?

just finished my 1st bottle of woodford, best bourbon I've ever had.

Surprised how smooth it was for being 90 proof

this is a three year old thread. It took you that long?!?!?!?

...For a more value minded Van Winkle, don't pass up the Van Winkle Family Reserve 12 Yr Lot B. If you can find it, buy it. One of my favorite bourbons under $50.

Pffft. What a difference three years makes. A month ago I found the first bottle I've been able to find in about a year. $70 (at a very reasonably priced store). The store had just gotten its yearly shipment in - four bottles. One was left. Yes, I bought it.

Maker's 46 is great for the price. I'm also working a lovely bottle of Jefferson's Reserve (nice caramel flavor), an 18 year old Elijah Craig (so smooth, it's practically cognac) and a little bit left of Van Winkle 10 and 15. But nothing beats the :worthy: Van Winkle 12.
