Steve Young's first comments: New Orleans defense is too bad to threaten the Packers.

The opening drive of the 3rd qtr was not gargage time....

The story here was that Brees simply overwhelmed the Giants defense. Totally abused them. His mastery was complete.

Manning exploited our defense fairly methodically when he had the chance, but her couldn't do it on Brees' level. If Manning had scored on that first drive rather than throw the end zone pick this could have been a much tighter game...we played te run passably well but got zero pressure.

If we face Rogers again and play this way, it is going to be a 52-50 game.

Maybe it will be a game like that and if it is there's no shame in whoever loses because we're seeing offense played at a level that may be unprecedented in NFL history. The difference in the last meeting was one turnover. Special teams scores cancelled out. We didn't convert on a couple of 4th downs and that's about it.

To beat teams like these two (and NE) you've got to:

keep them on the sideline (like Atlanta tries to do)

Get pressure with four men (like St.L)

make them work hard enough until they make a mistake, or

force turnovers. Other than that it's hard to stop them or us because the rules favor offenses like these. I'm just glad we got one of them.
