Steve Young's first comments: New Orleans defense is too bad to threaten the Packers.

This is 21st Century NFL defense. Offenses are getting faster, defenses have to get smaller and faster. The big hitting, run stuffing defense is fading because the game has changed to fast break mode.

The rules have changed to take the big hits out of the game. The new model seems to be "bend don't break" and high risk, high reward. That's the game we play. We spent our money on offense.

Great offense, "enough" defense is winning championships these days. Tonight we had decent defense which was more than enough.

There's a handful of good defenses in the league now, but I think the day of the great defense has passed.

I do agree with you, but I think this is all part of the cycle we go thru.

Teams are going to start looking for players that can match up with these new style of TEs and safeties that can cover are already coveted.
