NS.. ex-NFL players sue league... It's starting to make sense now

I just said in the post u quoted that I'm all for better health care after their career. What more should they get? I guarentee the law suits aren't for life time health care... I haven't seen it or heard anything but I'll bet money that the law suit is for damages in the 10's of millions of dollars!! That's the BS part of this.... Then every player will sue for 10 or 20 million each.. Then what do youmthink will happen to the NFL when they have to play evry player who plays $5, 10 or 20 million each????

My point is how can you sue for doing something voluntarily? Stupid!!!

Give em all better health care!! I'm all for that but to sue because you got brain damage from voluntarily ramming your head over and over! That's just dumb but exactly what this country has come to... Be stupid then blame everyone else for not protecting you from yourself!!

You are not getting that they are suing for better healtcare. They aren't getting adequate care after retirment (the players who played 10-20+ years ago). That is what the lawsuit is about. The NFL isn't going to do anything until the lawsuit goes through. That is the only recourse that these players have to get what you now admit they need. How many stories of guys who have dementia that have no health insurance and no money left to pay medical bills do you need to hear? Most likely this will turn into a class action lawsuit and each player will get an amount, not 10 million each.

To your point, I doubt there is anything in their contracts that says they agree to get brain damage.
