name a band that ****** you off because they got soft.

I'm going ot go "way back"

1. Styx. They went from arena-type hard rock to musak in the space of about one album.

2. Journey. If you've ever heard their first three albums, you know what I'm talking about. They went from an interesting progressive rock band to bubble gum literally from one record to the next. It sounds like two different bands entirely.

Styx--Suite Madam Blue, Lorelei, etc. compare to any junk off Paradise Theater--'nuff said

Journey--The days with Aynsley Dunbar on drums vs. Open Arms--no contest.

3. REO Speedwagon. Their live You Get What You Play For bears no resemblance whatsoever to the garbage on "Hi Infidelity." Download Golden Country or Like You Do to hear what REO used to sound like. God, what a sellout. Back in the day I watched them blow Aerosmith off the stage at Merriweather Post Pavillion. Of course most of Aerosmith was in, or headed to, rehab :hihi:

On the other hand, Dire Straits Love Over Gold album indicates the band's desire to stick to it's guns despite pressure to change it's sound.
