How Much of the Severity was Personal between Goodell and SP?

Did anybody else notice in the Goodel/Schefner Interview he said he had many sleepless nights over deciding this punishment? To me it sounds like he is worried about this coming back to haunt him. I say we keep complaining, call the NFL office, and participate in the scheduled rallys around town. This may sway him to reduce the sentence after the appeal. According to the NFL code of conduct, Payton can appeal.
