This is something we really needed, even if Vilma isn't going to be suspended, his time has past. it will mean if Harper wiffs on a tackle the back will not go for 10 yards, and it will keep our secondary a little more healthy.(so they won't have to be in on so many tackles)

that was a really good signing, especially considering it was after the "bountygate" crap.

as for vilma, i dunno. if we can restructure his contract, i'd like to keep him. the dude is smart, with the exception of 10k bounties. it's really hard to find defensive minds that think like he does. i think he has some time left him (he's only 29). i'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt that he was recovering this last season for his lack of production. he was still highly productive in 2010 though his 2011 season would let you think otherwise.. i just think with the lack of SP, we may need his coaching on the field. if he won't budge on his contract though, he's gotta go.
