Know who to pull for: week 11
This Saints team has one thing we have never really had before. Power Offense. Yes, we have had the weapons, but we have never had the offensive production to go with them. We now have a QB and a Head Coach/Offensive Coord. who knows how to use what we have. Until the Playoffs get here, this offense alone will help us get into the Playoffs. None of the games we have left after the Bengals are scary to me.
Dallas: The TO fiasco is what I thought it would end up being when they brought that guy in. He is older now and he drops balls, which is the beginning of the end for a WR. They also just lost Greg Ellis for the year, and that hurts them on the defense. They also have a young guy in Romo at QB, and he has been ok, but not great. This team is very beatable, even at their house.
Atlanta: I have been saying this for years. Vick is NOT an NFL QB. He'll look great one or two games, then looks like a Rookie in others. He is just like Randall Cunningham was - a glorified RB who happens to play QB. Randall at least learned how to be a pocket passer towards the end of his career. Atlanta's defense has also been beat up all year. We dominated them in our 1st matchup, and I believe we will again.
New York: This team is on the verge of falling apart. The loss of Amani Toomer has demoralized Eli Manning. The defense is almost all hurt, and their secondary has not been very good all year long. Very beatable.
San Francisco: Much improved team, especially offensively. However, most of their wins have come against bad teams. When they go against our offense, they will be dogged.
Washington: The defense has not been very good, and Randle El has been a bust. They are now going to an untried 1st year QB. Basically, this team has given up.
Carolina: Is anyone truly scared of this team? We almost beat them at Carolina. Their running game has been atrocious, and since they lost their best LB in Witherspoon, they have not been the same defensively. Plus, we play them next time at our house. Very winnable.
After this weekend, I don't see us having a major tough opponent the rest of the way. Yes, there are games that we could potentially lose, but I just don't see Payton letting that happen. Drew Brees has continually gotten better in this offense the way I said he would and now we can play with anyone offensively. If we can stop the turnovers, I don't think we will lose again until the playoffs. And then, I'm not so sure about until the Superbowl.
