Goodell could release GW's ledger books... give us film that corroborates this system... I don't think it exists. Do I think there was Pay for Performance? There may well be, but that is far different than saying that there was pay for injury.

F: Why do you think the NFL is making that leap?

g: I don't know. maybe he got out in front of himself before he really examined the evidence and rather than reeling it back he continued down this line. He could have punished Vilma without making public allegations without accusing Jonathan of criminal acts, but rather than using what was available he decided to make this a public attack. I don't understand why he did it and I think most people who cover football will be disappointed that he followed this path.
