To give up a 1st and 2nd round pick for a RB is pretty insane in today's NFL.

The injury bug was a concern coming out of college and it's already biting us in the backside. Which makes the reach to trade for him in that manner all the more questionable.

Imagine two more high quality defensive players on this team instead. Big swing and a miss potentially.

I agree with this but considering what we learned in 2010 about needing to run the football; I can't second guess the decision. If he were healthy, we would all be celebrating the decision. The good news is that by all early accounts, Ingram is a solid NFL back when healthy and a nice compliment to our stable. In retrospect, we would have likely lost our first rounder for this year anyway so the Ingram trade ended up being a solid decision on both fronts.
