Television recommendations please

I have an older 2007 46" Samsung LCD and a couple of year old Samsung 50" 1080p plasma. I had some trouble with the LCD panel, it had a power supply issue that was common with that era Samsung panels (took forever to turn to power on after the PS caps blew). I eventually fixed it myself with $8 worth of parts from Radio shack and a $20 soldering iron. The plasma has been flawless, no issues. I also would imagine Samsung has also long since resolved the power supply issues. I love the plasma but it is much better suited in lower light or movie watching situations. It also weighs 80 pounds so that could be an issue. Both have served me well but so has my 32" Sony in my daughters room now.
