After he's served, he has 20 days to file responsive pleadings (which will be a motion to dismiss). Of course, he may get additional time from Vilma, it's common and considered a courtesy among counsel to not oppose a reasonable extension.
Did Vilma get the courtesy of a meet with Goodell to discuss his role or see evidence against him? If Goodell had done that, maybe things wouldnt be where they are now!
