The only reason I can think of is the NFL doesn't want the original hand written document out because then, someone can cross reference that to an unrelated document in order to figure out who the source is. What would happen to the NFL's, already tainted, credibility if it comes out that Mike Cerullo supplied the documents?

How many times have you seen on TV news or the paper a document with info they don't want the public to see blacked out? I'm not buying they are protecting ANYONE. I would however buy that it is JUST possible that the evidence didn't say exactly what they needed it to so in re-writing it they did just that: re-wrote it to fit their needs. Whether by leaving part of it off or adding to it, I don't know. But so much "evidence" has already been casted in a bad enough light that I don't put ANYTHING past them anymore!
