Flying into NYC--Newark?

It will honestly be 2 hrs for that short drive? Thats what I was afraid of. the prices and timing into newark are so much better it isn't even funny. the biggest thing is trying to let my 2 year old nap. But if the drive is 2 hours from newark, that is crazy...google maps (which supposedly accounts for traffic) is saying 29 minutes, though.

the car is simply because we are going to shuttle my son around in Brooklyn, and he needs a car seat, so cabs are out. and the hotel, and wedding, and sister's house... i am not sure how subway friendly they all are.

Short answer is that there are probably more strollers in brooklynnitself than any of 20 interior States put together

Gonon mta.org any get a sense of route maps
its true that Brooklyn heights is not as close tonsubway stops as most but that only means it might be 10 blocks which sounds lots longer than it is

But for real if you're not used to driving in nyc its MUCH safer to subway
