How To: Get the Saints back to the SB in (1) offseason

Ur attempting place Okafor in a DE only. He can play OLB in a 3-4. He has been doing just that in Texas. I like him on the strongside in the pro's because he can still beat RT's with his speed. To come in as a third down rusher would be an excellent positon for him and it sticks with the norm of us not starting our draftees(This is if Martez is used @ LOLB and Hawthorne is retained to play WILB)

Im still under the impression that Cadet started practicing with the WR's so i have him in the Roby Role WR/KR/RB

Its all about having vision to me. Pierre and Ingram expire in a few years. If pierre isn't retained and Ingram doesn't pan out we are left with what @ RB? Having Michael as a fall back option is pretty good. It gives us flexibility.

I guess no one has a problem with the LT situation so i think i addressed all our actual needs.

To offer up a draw how about Lane Johnson LT Oklahoma in the 1st and Brandon Jenkins OLB/DE FSU in the 3rd assuming we get a 3rd instead of a 2nd for Ivory? Keep Alford in the 2nd round.

We have a few years before we need to worry about drafting any skill position players maybe other than a 2nd TE. And i'm not cool with what you got us going with at LT. If we roll into the season with Brown as our starter I won't feel good about it all. And if we pick Lane Johnson at 15 I won't like that either. I don't think he'll be able to step in day one as our starting LT so if Fisher is gone we better go defense at 15.

And dude your still over-estimating what we can get for Ivory. At the very best we could MAYBE land a 4th for him. This is coming from a guy that loves having Ivory and doesn't wanna lose him. No one values Ivory more than Saints fan so don't expect us to net an early pick for him. I know the idea of trading down and racking up on picks sounds great because we need depth to fill out the defense for this new scheme, but i'm tired of picking late in the first and either getting busts or average players. We need a playmaker on defense and with all the good defensive players in this draft and the fact were picking before pick 20 this is our year to get one. Stay at 15 and hope a star falls to us. Hope we get our 2nd rounder back and hope another good starter slips out of the first and into our lap in the second. We gotta make this draft count for now. Can't trade away for the future when we might only have Drew four more years.
