I hate busting huevos, but completely uninformative thread titles slow people down.

Let's put those numbers into context for a second... We are currently around about $15m over next years extimated salary cap. The figures you listed are a ONE YEAR guaranteed salary for a player (Bushrod) who, as yet, is not counted towards next years salary cap! So in other words, franchising Bushrod would move us around about $25million over next years cap before cuts are made. Who here thinks Loomis, wizard that he is, will be able to trim $25m from our current wage bill???

Not to mention that Bushrod was graded as the least effective member of our OL by both Football Outsiders and Pro Football Focus in their end of year grades. Not only can't we afford to tag him, it would be bad business even if we could!

Bottom line: I highly doubt we'll see Bushrod playing for us next season and we will need to find a new LT with very little money to use in FA!
