Any updated estimates where we are cap wise?

To me this move was one of Loomis' worst as our GM. I remember when Harper got this big payday and my friends and I were just scratching our heads as to why in the world we would sign him to top 5 safety money. There were not many options for the type of SS that we needed at the time that Harper's deal was signed. Also, at the time, he was coming off of a Pro-Bowl years IIRC. He signed for what was market rate for a good starting SS at the time. Plus, it was Payton and I guess to some extent Gregg Williams' decision to sign Harper to the contract. Loomis just gets the best deal he can. He does not decide who gets a deal without lots of, if not all input, from Payton.

And, while he is probably a bit overpaid at this point. Harper is not a bad SS. Especially not in a system that uses him close to the line of scrimmage. He was playing way out of position and comfort zone in Spanuolo's defense.
