Female kicker to break NFL gender barrier
if she was an actual, practiced kicker, it would be a different story. if she was someone who kicked in her HS, played on pee wee leagues, was in punt pass kick competitions, played flag football, actually knew, understood and loved the game, i would be more in her corner.
she never played before, has no technique, never worked with someone to help her technique through intense training and tries to come out. she only got the nod to even get a spot at combine due to being "a female trying to earn an NFL spot".
that is the same as guy who never played football or any organized sport, but can throw a football with bad technique 60 yards and decides he is going to entire the combine to be a qb because "it isn't that hard".
there are legitimate female football players out there who train to learn to kick, who make it a life's passion/dream of playing higher level football. this girl is NOT one of them and i agree with some others that it actually takes "women in the man's world of sports" back a little bit.
