Casillas is weak. All year he got pushed back 5 to 10 yards anytime he engaged a fullback or guard. Need a Ricky Jackson type to shed a block which Cassilas can t do. He should be cut period.

I could be wrong, but I don't see Casillas as a great fit anywhere in a 3-4. He is even a tad bit smaller than Vilma. Both of them are a bit smaller than you'd prefer in an ideal inside linebacker in a 3-4. And the outside linebackers are used heavily as edge rushers -- almost like defensive ends. ... All that stuff can be overrated, though, if a guy is a good player. Casillas is valued on special teams and he even showed some versatility playing MLB in a pinch during the preseason. So I wouldn't be surprised if he's back.

What are the chances the Saints lock up J. Graham now? It will only cost us more in the future. The cap presents an issue but Loomis has his way of making it work

The Saints would be happy to get him locked up long-term, I'm sure. But I don't think they would get him at a discount rate this year. He knows he'll be in line for a big pay day next year, so it would take a very big contract to lock him up. And the Saints could always use the franchise tag on him next year (feeling confident that he would in fact be labeled a tight end for cap purposes). So unless Graham was willing to sign a somewhat-discounted deal, I could see this lingering into next year.
