Why do i pay casino employees' "salary"?

When I worked at Harrah's as a VIP concierge in the High Limit area, it hurt so bad that I wasn't able to accept tips. They said it was because we made more than enough per hour ($20/hr.). I guess that's true, especially because it was just a part-time thing for me.

I'm talking turning down $100 tips just for getting them a drink when the waitresses weren't coming around or giving them some freeplay because of an issue they were having. I'm a cheery person and I had no problem going above and beyond for the really nice people. But if you came up to me with a nasty attitude, I did my job, still happily, but you weren't getting anything extra, just "Thank you and come again".

The same goes for when I win handpays at the slots. If the attendant is nice, and not treating me as though I'm interrupting his/her day, I'll glad tip $20-$30. But if they have a nasty attitude or spend the whole time talking to their friend, "Thanks" *money in my pocket*.
