To Tip or not to tip

Our social structure accepts the gratuity as part of the compensation for particular professions (including cab drivers). In this case, cab rates go to cover the ownership of the vehicle, licensing fees, insurance, upkeep, gas, franchise fees, profit for the cab company, etc, etc - the tip is the bulk of the money that the cab driver takes home as his pay. In most cases, the driver is (more or less) just an employee operating a business for someone else, and your tip is his wage.

If you are not tipping, you are a cheapo, and ignorant to boot, and you should feel guilty.
