Surgery, 7am tomorrow to repair Achilles...dont really

Suck it up wuss, you'll be fine :)

Honestly I'd take general over epidural every time, that stuff freaks me out. Have had many knee surgeries, from very minor to very major. Shortest was about 45 minutes just to clear out scar tissue. Got general anesthesia for all of them.

What happened to your achilles? I'm getting mine MRI'd on sat, doc says its insertional achilles tendinathopy with maybe some small tears. I may have to get it operated on since physical therapy isn't working.

I ruptured it 2 weeks ago playing soccer.

I had injured it the week prior in game. Just figured it was tendonitis and that i could play thru it the next week. I was wrong. So very wrong. Doc said I probably had a minor tear and when I planted to take off, it completed the tear.

Ive never had an issue with knees/ankle over the 30 years ive played. So this was quite a shock. No pain. no soreness ( im guessing that will change in the next few days ). But I want piece of mind when i enter PT that I know the tendon is fully connected.
