NFL.Com Best Pick in the 1st Round: Kenny Vaccaro

Not in the BIG-12 but i had a lot of time on my hands today so I watched last years game. They weren't matched up often. I think Stills only had like 3 catches for 40yds that game (no catches against Vaccaro) as he mostly played outside, but did play some in the slot. That Texas D is horrible Vaccaro rarely gets thrown at but when he does, it's ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS an out pattern. And they make it so easy, I don't know if it's the coaches making him play inside or if this is something he does on his own. He's often beat before the play even starts. I noticed this in the WV game and the OU game.

In the first photo, when he's lined head up on the slot, he's awesome.

But then on some running downs, they'll have him play more down and inside like in picture 2 for run support I guess (which he sucked at in this game). Whenever they do this, the offensive recognizes it and it's a 7,8, 10 yard out every single time for the easy completion. Everyone else is in man, not sure if he's supposed to be in zone or what but it seems to be all man.

Thanks Bro... I found some interesting things... he was good as a freshman and sophomore too...here are just a few:

in 2013 --- ranks seventh in the Big 12 in receptions per game and eighth in receiving yards per game ... led team in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns ... tallied three 100-yard receiving games ... tied a school record with four touchdown receptions, including the game-winning score with 24 seconds remaining, at West Virginia

in 2011 --- hauled in multiple TDs in a game for the first time in his career vs. Texas ... just the fourth Sooner with multiple receiving TDs in a game vs. Texas

in 2010 --- had a career-high 86 yards receiving vs. Texas Tech ... had three receptions for at least 49 yards, all of which went for touchdowns.

Those numbers show that he can score from a long way out.
