Oops, that's my number (Senator Vitter)[MULTI-MERGED]

SF11, do you happen to have a bigger picture? Couldn't really see much of anything in that one...

While I'm not ringing the tinfoil hat alarm just yet, here's a link to ABC news original response to the released phone numbers of the DC madam...

So either 20/20 is staffed by incompetents that could figure out that on that list is an office phone # to a sitting Senator, or they're in on the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy™.

Here's the other thing, who 'busted,' Vitter? I haven't seen one story on who put it all together. The only thing I've seen is Vitter making a statement apologizing for it.

And ALL this right before the report to Congress on Iraq.

It doesn't have to be part of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy™, you know. It really sounds like the work of some slippery, underhanded, and ethically challenged, political strategist, who would probably be working in the White House and wanted to distract from the upcoming report. And none of us know anyone like that, do we?

I, at least, hope Vitter was well compensated for falling on this one.

My original post was intended to be tongue-in-cheek, SW. :hihi:

And as cynical as I am of the media, I don't think this episode is due to complicity but rather to complacency. Or just pure incompetence.
