I can forgive Clinton for his sexual indiscretions. I take it that you will forgive Vitter of his in the name of fairness.

This doesn't mean that Clinton is off the hook for perjury. If Vitter has to do his time, Clinton has to do his. Clinton never offered to resign, and he's still praised by a fan base that ignores his sins while reaming others (Bush, Vitter, etc.) for the same sins.
