the VG board football thread

Hey, given the way we sounded the last few days, I can see why the Seahawks might see us as kindred spirits.

As for the game, it depends if Seattle keeps mucking up like they have been for a few weeks now (has to be only team in NFL history with back to back blocked FG's returned for TDs). They're one bounce from 4-2 on the Lynch fumble.

We finally got stung on our own brinksmanship on the road in Boston. The Cards are the Cards, but Seattle really can't continue to give away the football on the road. If they don't turn it over, they probably win a low scoring game. If they turn it over once or twice more than Palmer does, they probably win.

There's really no excuse for Seattle losing more than one game at most before we play, and there's really no excuse for the Saints losing two at most from a neutral perspective on both teams. As a fan, though, I think we lose one at most. The bye and the next three opponents coming off one that got away should keep us well motivated against the substandard guys, and I just think Payton will take it to Harbaugh and has little chance of losing his 3rd game ever to the Falcons on the road.
