The Ravens template for beating the Saints

I don't want to be accused of being "negative" so here are the solutions to the template (as I see them)-

On Offense (for the Saints)-

1. Just once I'd like to see Payton establish the run with McAllister getting 25 carries and Bush only in the game on third and long or when Deuce needs a rest. This would slow down the opposing Offense by eating up the clock, giving them less chance at the ball. It would also open up the playaction pass and big plays.....

2. Don't give the ball to Bush in the redzone. Pound it in with Deuce.

3. Bench any player who coughs up the ball (including and esp. Bush). Finally to keep players from swatting at the ball your receivers must be able to break arm tackles, making big YAC, forcing defenders to wrap up instead of going for the ball. Payton must find the guys on his roster that can hold onto the ball and break arm tackles whether it's Jones, Lewis, Henderson, Moore, etc.

4. Establishing Deuce on the ground would prevent D's from being in the position to blitz.

5. Payton seems overly enamored with Bush's versatility. Bush should only be in the game to spell Deuce or in third and long.

On Defense (for the Saints)-

1. Make the opposition one dimensional, force them to either run or pass but not allow them to be successful at both.

2. Disguise your blitzes, it's incredibly easy to pick up the blitz if you can see it coming presnap. Sorry but Gibbs' blitzes are extremely Venturiesque.....

3. Not much you can do about Craft with the current roster.

4. Absolutely make sure Bullocks does not bite on the pump fake or play action in order to give Thomas help deep....

5. The D must stop over pursuing but then again if the Saints D has made the opposition one dimensional then this will not be a big concern.
