If we hadn't lost our starting QB in the first quarter and thus lost to Kansas State, we would be the clear frontrunner to play Ohio State in Tempe.

I'm not saying we're the second best team in the country (I think Michigan is), but we would almost definitely be in the #2 spot and hold it to rematch Ohio State in the national championship game.

Has nothing to do with being too proud of Texas.
