Oops, that's my number (Senator Vitter)[MULTI-MERGED]

She has(maybe had, my observation was a few years ago) a horribly disorganized staff; she has nothing to show for her years in the Senate other than the offshore royalty bill(which I attribute more to Katrina, than Mary); she is not given a great deal of responsibility by her party's leadership(though she has some good committee assignments); her voice seems to be given no weight. Maybe I am expecting too much, but year after year we send Senators to Washington in part to look out for this State, and they have precious little to show for it. Fort Polk is fading into oblivion; Barksdale will probably be on the chopping block before too long; no big projects, no big Government investment in the State(other than entitlement payments). Good grief, take a look at what that old fogey Robert Byrd brings to West Virginia of all places. I would love to see even a modest portion of that investment come to Louisiana, who unfortunately happens to share bottom five status with West Virginia is a lot of unfortunate categories.
