Best Live Albums Ever
Here's my list of top live rock albums:
Allman Brothers-Live At The Fillmore (enough said)
Fleetwood Mac-Live At the Boston Tea Party (3 CD set with some repetition of songs; great jamming, just skip the Jeremy Spencer covers of Elmore James and 50s songs)
Deep Purple-In Concert 1970-1972 Part One features great jams of Child In Time and Hard Road, Disc 2 is essentially Machine Head live)
Others that I enjoy:
Ten Years After-Undead Great work by Alvin Lee & co.
Sam Cooke Live At The Harlem Square Club 1963 His only live performance playing at a black club and avoiding pop standards. With King Curtis on sax.
The Who-Live At Leeds
Cream-Live, Vol. 1 Clapton lets loose on Sweet Wine
Humble Pie-Rockin' The Fillmore Peter Frampton & Steve Marriott
Lynyrd Skynyrd-One More From The Road
Pink Floyd Any of the various bootlegs predating Dark Side Of The Moon (Roger Waters with a gong)
