Commander's Palace to open in Destin next summer

I am not sure if any other posters have eaten at Commander's since it re-opened since post-K. I ate there Mardi Gras weekend for brunch and my mom's 82 birthday. We had a party of 15. They had a beautiful boquet of flowers for her. Service was impeccable. The bloody mary's and screwdrivers were continually topped off without charge. The dress code was not coat and tie required but more of "dress casual" not casual dress. No jeans, pullovers, sandals. I was told the coat and tie code is gone. The sheepshead was excellently prepared as was most everybody's meal. The banana's foster was great and the jazz trio band very enjoyable.

Yeah, I went back post-Katrina and it is now dress casual as far as I was told. They say no jeans, but actually there were a few people in jeans when I went. I believe locals can get away with them, though I don't see why you would want to and look like an idiot.
