If L.A. Gets A Team, Seahawks May Move To AFC West

That day is coming, probably sooner rather than later. The lease goes through 2025. Will the Superdome still be good enough for the NFL in 2025? How much money will we put into it. The Superdome to me is going to be one of those timeless classic stadiums.. There have been others, wrigley field, solder field, yankee stadium, fenway, etc. but even Yankee stadium was eventually replaced. I'm in no hurry to move on from the superdome but one day it will happen.

In 2025 the dome will be 50 years old, still located in one of the most prime areas on the planet to throw a good party. Once a stadium reaches a certain age, the thought of tearing it down becomes unimaginable. The dome is nearing that age now. To put it in perspective, Lambeau is 57 years old right now. Considering the dome is made of almost all concrete, is plenty large enough (Still the largest fixed dome in the world), has plenty of space and room for most changes and it's proximity to the French Quarter along with a resume of historical events that rival or beat just about any stadium in the world we may be reaching the point in which it never gets torn down and replaced. I really think it reached that point when it was decided to renovate the dome after Katrina. If the horrible things that happened and the damage that was caused by Katrina didn't put a nail in that coffin then nothing will.
