Who cares how fast he has developed? How is that in the least bit relevant for 2014? I am not saying Ingram is the best RB for the future...I am saying that he is the best pure RB RIGHT NOW. The stats before his injury would confirm that. I love PT. He is a phenominal receiver and maybe one of the best receiving backs the game has ever seen. But I am very content with Ingram and Robinson toting the load from a running perspective. PT has had issues with health over the years and he is invaluable to this team, much more so than Ingram or Robinson. The drop off from PT to Cadet is substantial and it would be the difference between wins and loses. We need to keep PT healthy and keeping him in a primary receiving role increases the likelihood of that happening.
Ideally I would look for 32 rushes per game. Ingram- 17, Robinson- 9, PT- 6. PT would also contribute in for 5-6 receptions a game.
But in all likelihood...Payton will continue having our rush total around 26.
