Brees proves Chargers wrong

NEW YORK - Drew Brees knew early on he had picked the right team to play for. That the Saints are 5-1 and atop the NFC South is simply further verification of his choice.
But get this: Even if the Saints had gotten off to a horrible start, Brees would have said he made the right call.
"If we were 1-5, I'd still be saying I picked the right spot," he said. "This was a match made in heaven for me. It was a fresh start for the organization and the city. I felt this was my calling. Regardless of the record, I'd be telling you the same thing. I made the right decision."
