Arrow - Spoilers galore
It's long been clear that they were sort of Batman-izing Arrow, but the Arrow/Flash crossover really made it obvious that they're using those two characters as proxies for the Batman/Superman relationship. You've got the brighter, superhuman, more optimistic, "I'm a hero because it's the right thing to do" type (Barry/Superman) and the darker, grittier, vengeance-driven, super skilled human that's willing to cross certain lines and is more of a vigilante (Oliver/Batman).
But yeah, the ending of this episode was definitely the exclamation point on that. Which is fine. It's not particularly true to the Green Arrow of the comics, but it works for the TV universe they're creating.
