makes me wonder what the difference would be? If it doesn't originally come from vanilla bean then (and I know that most flavorings are pseudo or non but the box is advertising and that is all pretend. So why pretend a difference) :idunno:
My mom makes a killer homemade vanilla ice cream (it's why I love Blue Bell so much because it has a very close taste). We used to hand crank it all the time during the summer. I never knew vanilla came from a bean until one day I thought there were bugs in my ice cream at a party. Most home made vanilla ice cream doesn't use beans, they use vanilla extract, for what's its worth.
