At Training Camp - Joke or Not Funny At All [THREAD CLOSED]

What the hell is this supposed to mean?

So because we're adults, we're supposed to kick our fandom down a notch? We're not supposed be excited to meet a player we enjoy watching play for our team? We're not supposed to want a memento from when we got to meet our team in person?

Well screw that. I'm 31 years old and I definitely would love an autograph from Colston. That dude has been an upstanding teammate and a huge pleasure to watch on Sundays.

If being a fan of a player makes me childish, well then I guess I'm not interested in being a "grown up."
You're welcome to do whatever you want to justify your fandom. I just think that having a person's name on a piece of paper or jersey or whatever else is a goofy way of confirming it. Do you win fan points when you show off your autographs to friends? It just seems absurd to me, but you are free to ask for whatever evidence you wish as long as the other person is willing to accommodate.
