At Training Camp - Joke or Not Funny At All [THREAD CLOSED]

A lot of you "PC" people simply do not get it. You all seem so obsessed with being "the center of attention" (and what are "my rights"), that you miss on life's true gems. In fact, the joke is really on Colston for being so introvert - not on the fans. And think about it. Whom do you tease the most? Poeple you love and respect (otherwise you simply ignore them). So, take it as a complement as "being one of the guys in the Saints gang",and share this experience with a smile, rather than whinging like a 4 year old girl. Nobody got hurt nor killed. Get in the game and start acting like a man!

Pretty sure this is the first time I've ever been accused of being "politically correct" :spit: .

I don't have a whole lot to say about your post, because it's awful (that's me being politically correct and not calling the post what I think it's a piece of). How sad that we've gotten to the point where "nobody got hurt or killed" is the barometer for whether a player is out-of-line with their actions.

And once again we have a case where the autograph-seeker is basically told to "grow up" (some have said that directly, with statements about "whining like a 4 year old girl"......others have been more passive with "i don't think grown men should wear jerseys" or "why seek the autograph to begin with?"). It's possible some of those people don't get to attend Saints games, otherwise they'd see 2/3rds of the SuperDome wearing jerseys......and people trying to get footballs signed, etc.

I've never had anything signed in my life, autographs aren't my thing. I don't wear jerseys anymore either. That doesn't make this right and I know that if I judged anyone for being a fan, I'd be a huge hypocrite.

I'm neither impressed by Coleman, who has never accomplished anything on an NFL field, nor all the fans here who are desperately defending his actions. The guy has every right to feel angry, upset, embarrassed, betrayed or however it made him feel about this. Any of you perched up on your pedestal, bemoaning adults who seek autographs, are a bunch of hypocrites. Go spend countless hours watching adults wearing pads and tights play a game so you can get some self-worth and then come talk about wearing jerseys and getting autographs.

Just because you're a Saints fan doesn't mean you have to agree with everything any Saints player ever does.

It's embarrassing how sheep-like people can be when you even suggest someone on your favorite team is a prick. If you spent $200+ on a decent Jersey and wanted to get it autographed, you would be irritated too at the least. Pretending otherwise is just denial, plain and simple.

Or I could have said this, because it's spot-on. I went to WrestleMania 30 last year in New Orleans.....because, while I'm not quite the pro wrestling fan I was 15-plus years ago.....I still wanted the experience. Naturally you see alot of guys dressed up as their former heroes (Hogan, Savage, etc), with many others wearing the shirts of the current generation of wrestlers. Personally I haven't owned a wrestling-themed shirt since 1999........and, unless some close friend or relative of mine got into that business, probably never will again. But that doesn't mean I'm gonna be all pompous about it and roll my eyes at those who wanna have their own fun.
