I'm curious as to why this is a big deal to you, but something like the Washington Redskins name issue is something that people should "find a way to make peace with it" if it bothers them.
Because there is alot of historical football value in the Redskins name, and quite frankly, many of those protesting it probably weren't alive when that name was first given to the team.
This fan showed up to support a team he loved and got punked, unnecessarily, by a player who has yet to even establish himself in the NFL yet.
